Justin Bieber and other celebrities are expressing their grief over the passing of a beloved musician.
32-year-old Chris King, whose real name was Christopher Cheeks, was tragically shot and killed in Nashville, Tenn., on April 20. The incident, which also resulted in injuries to others, was confirmed by the police in a press release.
According to the press release, Chris, along with two friends, was shot in an armed robbery between Hayes and Church Streets in Nashville. The incident occurred when three suspects, who were initially “hanging out cordially” with their group, suddenly turned violent. Another 29-year-old individual who was present at the scene also sustained injuries.
After learning about Chris’ passing, Justin took to social media to express his deep sorrow and pay tribute to his dear friend and former housemate.
“I love you, bro,” he expressed in an Instagram Story on April 20, as reported by People. “This news is devastating. Let’s keep his family in our thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again, my dear friend.”
The rapper, known for his collaborations with various artists, including fellow rapper Trippie Redd, gained recognition for his work. He also founded the music label Snotty Nose Records. Trippie Redd paid tribute to him on social media.
