Greek police report that the search and rescue operation for Michael Mosley, a British doctor and television presenter, is still ongoing on the Greek island of Symi. Mosley went missing on Wednesday afternoon while out for a walk and has yet to be located.
According to the police, the search for the 67-year-old vacationer involved the coast guard, police, and fire department. The team utilized a helicopter, drones, and a police sniffer dog in their search efforts. So far, they have been unable to locate any sign of the missing individual.

According to the news agency, the mayor of Symi, Lefteris Papakalodoukas, speculated that the individual may have fallen into the sea and been washed away or encountered some other unfortunate circumstance.
Authorities are investigating claims that he engaged in conversations with residents during his stroll.
Michael Mosley is a familiar face on British television and radio, and he also writes a column for the popular Daily Mail newspaper. However, he is recognized worldwide for his bestselling book “The Fast Diet” in collaboration with journalist Mimi Spencer. This book introduced the revolutionary “5:2 diet” that enables people to lose weight quickly by cutting down their calorie intake for two days a week while maintaining a healthy diet for the other five.
Roy Taylor, co-author of “The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet” with Mosley, expressed his concern for Michael’s wife Clare and their sons following the shocking news. “This news has focused our minds on them, and we hope that he will be found safely,” said Taylor, who is also a professor of medicine and metabolism at Newcastle University.
The Greek authorities are being contacted by Britain’s Foreign Office regarding the ongoing search.
In 2022, Mosley received an Emmy nomination for his role as an executive producer on the BBC science documentary “The Human Face.” The documentary was presented by Monty Python star John Cleese and included appearances from notable figures such as Elizabeth Hurley, Pierce Brosnan, and David Attenborough.
