In an upcoming book, former chief White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci disclosed that ex-President Trump used expletives during a phone call in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to recent reports from The New York Times and The Daily Beast, Dr. Fauci has revealed in his autobiography that just three months into the pandemic, President Trump used several expletives during a phone call.

According to a copy of the book obtained by The Daily Beast, Trump’s rants included him repeatedly screaming expletives at Fauci.

According to the Times, Fauci wrote that the president was furious and expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that he could not keep enduring such behavior from him.

According to reports, Fauci shared that he was told by someone that they loved him, but they believed he was worsening the country’s situation. They went on to criticize Fauci, stating that the stock market only increased by 600 points in response to positive Phase 1 vaccine news, when it should have gone up by 1,000 points. The individual went as far as claiming that Fauci cost the country “one trillion dollars.”

According to the memoir, Trump also reportedly used a swear word during that phone call, as reported by The Times. The chapter in the book that delves into Trump’s actions during the early stages of the pandemic is titled “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.”

According to the Times, Fauci admitted, โ€œI have a pretty thick skin,โ€ but he confessed that being shouted at by the president of the United States, regardless of how many times he professes his love and affection, is not a pleasant experience.

According to The Times, approximately 70 pages are devoted to the discussion of the initial year of the COVID-19 outbreak, during which Trump was serving as President.

Dr. Fauci’s memoir, titled “On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service,” is set to be released on Tuesday. The 480-page book provides insights into his life experiences, spanning his service under seven US Presidents, starting from the Reagan administration.

For almost forty years, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health was under his direction.

Amid the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fauci found himself pushed into the limelight. However, he has faced criticism from numerous Republicans who have targeted him for the way he handled the pandemic.

During a House committee hearing earlier this month, he found himself defending his actions. Republican lawmakers relentlessly questioned him about the government’s pandemic-era policies and recommendations.

According to The Hill, Steven Cheung, the Communications Director for the Trump campaign, accused Dr. Fauci of attempting to revise history to hide his poor judgment and misguided suggestions that President Trump had to reverse, ultimately saving countless lives. Cheung further added that had it not been for President Trump’s decisive actions, the nation would have remained vulnerable to China and other countries, unable to restart its economy, and put millions of lives at risk, as the President had previously stated.
